All about Evon...well, maybe not ALL! lol
Hello! My name is Evon. My friends call me Ev. I was born on December 18th, 1948, in Massachusetts. Currently, I live on sunny Cape Cod with my wife and beloved Westies Baba and Lilli. I am an Internationally Commissioned Decorative and Fine Arts Artist. My work has been featured in National Magazines, Decorator Showhouses, Galleries, and the finest Private Collections all over the world. Some of my creations include watercolor portraits (people or pets...from photos or sittings), hand cut out and muraled decorative screens, HAND PAINTED BROADLOOM RUGS (yes, that's BROADLOOM), FLOORCLOTHES, hand cut out and painted window treatments, and much, much, more. MUSEUM QUALITY HAND RESTORATION, of anything wood, is another one of my passions. FAUX FINISHES no problem. I travel frequently for work. "HAVE BRUSHES...WILL TRAVEL", is my motto these days. I graduated from a prestigious Boston Art School in 1970 and have been working as an Artist for almost 30 years now. I retain an online portfolio. Things that make my heart sing!
I absolutely adore music. I am an Audiophile. I love all types of music as long as it is good. I love Classical (Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Vivaldi), Jazz (Sunny Rollins, Duke Ellington, Winton Marsalis, Louis Armstrong), Blues (Robert Johnson), Rock (the ARTIST, George Clinton and the P Funk) and even some rap, (I love Lauren Hill). I will listen to anything once. I also collect rare records and music from all over the world. I have a 1916 Victrola (a crank up phonograph) that is in mint condition and lots of old one sided records. I have been collecting Antiques for over 30 years and love to go to Auctions and Flea Markets. I adore Antique Classic Cars, as well. Let's see...Favorite Foods, anything Ethnic (Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian, and Italian are some of my favorites). But again, if it's GOOD FOOD it's fine with me. I am into healthy foods (no tofu please) and taking good care of myself. Most of my reading concerns Art History. I guess I am just a History Buff...period! lol. Love that History Channel! I am also a Sci-Fi Aficionado.
