Philosophy of FINISHWORKS
Throughout my 35 years as an Artist and Craftsperson in New England, everyone told me to; "specialize"..."Do not diversify". But, (and it's a big but, no pun intended), this seemed to fly in the face of everything I was hearing from my clients. Clients told me repeatedly, that they preferred to deal with individual sub-contractors, as it was much less expensive. (And they are correct, it is). But...(and this but is even bigger...pun intended), that finding the good ones, and getting multiple estimates, was truly frustrating and time consuming. Not to mention, the issues, of coordinating schedules, and having to trust complete strangers in and about your home. And I listened.
I have always tried to keep my clients as happy and stress-free as possible. So, I sat down, and tried to figure out how to address these challenges. That was when FINISHWORKS was created.
Over the last 35 years, my experience and expertise has grown immensely; as has the network of superior trades people I have come in contact with. I proceeded, to gather together, the most superb atelier of framers, masons, plumbers, electricians, designers, architects, and organic landscapers that I knew and respected (all licensed and insured). I proposed the idea of independent sub-contractor inter-referral, and mentioned the web-site I was developing.
